Becca Kaufman, a native New Yorker, moved to Chicago in 1987 to attend Northwestern University’s renowned theatre program. She realized singing and songwriting was her true passion and quickly became one of the most sought after jingle writers/session vocalists in the city. Becca’s talents are featured on commercials for Coke, Diet Coke, Bally's, Buick and many others. Her character voices can be heard on many games and toys from manufacturers such as Konami, Hallmark and the smash CD-ROM series 'You Don't Know Jack'. In 2003, she was featured on WGN-TV as “Chicago’s Very Own” spotlighting her many successful adventures.

Live performances have ranged from her critically acclaimed cabaret show “The Show Biz Kids” with Emmy Award Winner Dick O’Day, to “School House Rock Live”. She has appeared on stage with performers such as Lily Tomlin, Brooke Shields, Phoebe Snow, Tony Roberts and Ellen Burstyn. Some of her favorite gigs have included singing the National Anthem for the world champion Chicago Bulls and her forever-losing New York Knicks.
Becca is the Founder and Executive Producer of Singer Spotlight Productions, offering vocalists of all experience levels monthly showcase opportunities and educational experiences around Chicago land.
Becca was the Executive Producer and one of the singer/songwriters on Music for the Heart, a collection of 23 original children’s songs, benefiting The Children’s Heart Foundation, released in 2002. The album made it to the final round of Grammy considerations for Best Children’s Album. Other composition highlights include her song “Here I Am” which was picked up by Warner-Chappell Music and numerous songs featured in independent films.

Becca’s passion for Weddings has led her career down many different paths, covering every aspect of Wedding organization, planning and execution. She has shared the knowledge she has acquired through the years with her own radio show, I Do, I Do, on 105.9FM, WCKG, Chicago.

 

She is recognized as a “wedding expert” and has made many television appearances locally (WGN, NBC, FOX, CLTV) as well as nationally on a 15 city cross country tour. Her wedding tips have been featured in The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Daily Herald, Pioneer Press and In Style Magazine. She is a Contributing Editor for Chicago Bride Magazine.
Becca and her radio co-host Paula Ramsey were contributors and consultants in the recently released New York Times Best Selling Book, Chicken Soup for the Bride’s Soul. The book offers true stories of unique proposals, Wedding day memories and powerful moments of love and commitment.
Becca and Paula recently launched WeddingQuestions.com bringing their wedding knowledge to an even bigger audience. The wedding website offers brides personalized answers to any and all of their wedding questions.
Becca has performed with many society bands including The Don Cagen Orchestra, TVK Music, Orchestra 33 & The Ken Arlen Orchestra. After leading the Bobby Schiff Band for five years, she performed exclusively with The Ralph Wilder Orchestra for seven. She then went on to lead The Wilder 2 Orchestra for three years. With over fifteen years of experience, Becca is thrilled to finally step out on her own with BKO and MFO Entertainment Group, Inc.
